Of course an individual profile may also be created from scratch.

Existing services only provide filtering capabilities. This concept is rather limited when trying to find the best option for a product. Either you end up with dozens of alternatives which fulfill all the filter criteria or the filter result is empty and you have to start over multiple times with different sets of filter criteria until you are satisfied with the result.
Phenomate aims at the best match available, which must not always be 100%. However a 95% option could be still worth a purchase. A simple filter cannot give you that information.
